Our Education Pathway
At Oris British International School, we proudly offer the full Cambridge International Curriculum, guiding students from their foundational early years through to university preparation. Each stage is thoughtfully designed to support academic growth, personal development, and global readiness.
🧸 Early Years (Ages 2–5)
Laying the Foundation for a Lifetime of Learning
Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a vibrant and nurturing environment where young learners are introduced to the joy of discovery. Through a play-based, child-centred approach, we help children develop key early skills in communication, numeracy, creativity, and motor development. Learning is guided by caring professionals who focus on building confidence, curiosity, and social-emotional awareness.
📚 Primary School (Ages 5–11)
Building Strong Academic and Personal Foundations
In our Primary section, we follow the Cambridge Primary Curriculum, focusing on core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science, along with Global Perspectives and ICT. This stage develops learners’ critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities. Our goal is to foster independent thinkers who are prepared for the challenges of Lower Secondary education.
🧠 Lower Secondary (Ages 11–14)
Exploring Knowledge, Strengthening Skills
The Cambridge Lower Secondary programme builds on the knowledge gained in Primary and introduces students to a broader, more structured curriculum. Subjects include English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives, ICT, and a range of creative and physical education options. At this level, students begin to explore more complex ideas, improve analytical thinking, and gain academic confidence. It is also a key stage for identifying personal strengths and interests.
🎓 Upper Secondary (Ages 14–16)
Preparing for the Future with Cambridge IGCSE
In Upper Secondary, students begin the internationally respected Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) programme. This rigorous academic stage encourages deep subject mastery, analytical thinking, and research skills. Students typically study a combination of core and elective subjects, such as English Language, Mathematics, Sciences, Business Studies, ICT, and Art. The IGCSE serves as a strong foundation for A-Level studies and future academic pursuits.
🎯 Advanced Level / Sixth Form (Ages 16–19)
Academic Excellence and University Preparation
Our Sixth Form offers the prestigious Cambridge International A-Level programme, highly valued by universities around the world. Students specialise in three to four subjects aligned with their career goals and university aspirations. This stage focuses on developing independent study habits, critical inquiry, academic writing, and presentation skills. Alongside academics, students receive personalised university guidance, leadership opportunities, and mentorship that support their transition to higher education and adulthood.
